Nine months in your mother’s womb , two hours or more, labored at the operating room , feed you when you are hungry , changing your diaper when wet, staring in your cute baby face when you are asleep , or simply they taking care of you. Almost eight months to one year before you start to walk, 6 years in primary school, 4 years in secondary school and 4 to 5 years in tertiary. Have you figure out it all? Have you still remember those times? Well, perhaps it reminds us our childhood days , where in those times , the tender loving care of our parents is so much needed. Well , simply because , in those times we cant change our wet diaper alone , we cant feed our own and we cant stand alone and we need their support. You know we are so fortunate that they guided us , supported us and loved us without asking for anything , but only the love that we can give back to them , which they deserved.
For me, our parents are indeed a heroes, they can offer themselves for us, They can give everything that they have just for us. And most of all , they are willing to keep their deep emotions within themselves to work abroad , and they are strongly willing to be patient enough just to support our needs and to supply what we supposed to have. And sometimes they just ignored their health problem due to hectic and stressful schedule just for the sake of our future. Imagine how they sacrifice everything in their lives. Have you appreciated it all?
In my own observation, there are people that they don’t even appreciate their parent’s effort , that they are working abroad very hard just to earn money and to send it to their kids in order to support them financially. I could still remember one of the situation that I’ve encountered just a couple of years ago. She’s supporting by her parents financially to send her to school and hoping for her good future. But instead of doing her part as a daughter which is to study hard in order to finish her study and to have a great opportunity for her future. And She got pregnant at a very young age and ofcourse due to her condition , she stopped her study. Perhaps , this situation is not really surprisingly maybe because that’s the reality that we have today. And probably that situation was merely one of those disappointing situation on the part of the parents.
But you know, I do believe that , its not how painful it was , its how brave you are to stand once again and to fix yourself from the past and make your past as a learning lesson which will be your strength and power to continue your journey in life.
And one thing that you should do for the second chance. Make your parents proud to you , despite of disappointment that they felt,and from there start all over again and make your life more meaningful than before. Life will not just end because you’ve stopped for a meanwhile , but you should start another life to live , and live the way it should be.Perhaps , the most significant and happiest part of our parent’s life is that , when they see their kids fulfilled and successful in their lives as a result of their perseverance and determination.
That’s why , you as in you, the reader of this , me and all the son’s and daughter’s of their parent’s out there , be thankful to them , be showy and let them feel how much we care, how much we love them and how much we appreciate their meaningful effort. And allow them to feel that their efforts are so much worth it. And allow yourself to make the most out of it. Give them what they deserved, not merely what you can.
